blog 12/11

   This week we finished our career projects, this project was pretty easy and I got finished fast. We also had guest speakers about the projects who talked to us about our options for those careers with an education degree. Then we got into our groups and made posters on that job.

   Since this week was the week of Halloween we did fall related activities. One day we did a five station activity that included painting and playdough like toddlers would. We started toddlers this weeks so we learned about basic care.

Blog 10/23

    This week we took our last notes on infants. We also finished our infant learning environment project which taught us about how infants should be cared for in day cares. Also this week we had our big infant test but I think I did well on it so it's okay.

Blog 10/16

   This week was kind of annoying because we had two big projects but its okay. Our first project was to design a toy for an infant, i did all the work and my group sucked and I STILL didn't get a great grade so wohooo go me. Also this week we created a lesson plan for infants, that wasn't fun either but its school and we are here to learn about babies.

     This week we learned about infant cognitive, social, and emotional development. This could be very helpful in life so you know how to treat babies to their need and what they know.

    This week we took notes on infant general care and physical development. These things are helpful to know for our test and basic knowledge. For our activity we did a milestones baby book, this taught us about how babies bodies develop over the months.

blog 9/25

This week we watched the babies documentary. This movie showed us how babies are treated and how they live in various countries around the world. Also we held a baby shower for our flour babies, I was not here for this day but I assume it was fun.

This week we watched inside out. We learned about children's emotions by watching this movie. Also at the end of the week we made toys for toddlers, my toy worked with mathematics and was in the form of a robot

     This week in childhood development we learned how to teach toddlers and make lesson plans for toddlers. At the end of the week we made lesson plans for 1-3 year olds and taught them to the class. My group had science and we gave everyone rocks and colored magnified panels so they could look at the Rock through them.

This week in childhood development we made infant daycare centers. I learned that there are many rules and regulations that need to be set in place to run a daycare center. I also did not know that you need to have half walls so you can be in sight and sound of the babie at all times.

week of 10-14

This week in class we made infant toys and went over lesson plans. I am glad that we have started to learn how to take care and teach babies rather than prenatal development and all that stuff. I did not know that you had to be so specific in making baby toys and that in order to sell them well you need to include parts of the toy that stimulate them and help develop skills.
